WHAT IS MICROBLADING? Microblading, also known as microstroking, 3D brows, and eyebrow embroidery, to name a few, is a permanent makeup procedure, using a manual hand method to implant pigment into the skin in the form of crisp, fine, realistic hair strokes to create beautiful, maintenance-free eyebrows.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Permanent makeup is a two-step procedure, the initial procedure and the following touch-up 6-8 weeks after. Color and shape can be adjusted at the touch up appointment. Healed eyebrows will be 20-30% lighter than the initial results.

Approximate daily healing schedule:
1-2: Your brows are approximately 20-40% darker, bolder, and more solid than your healed result. Under the pigment, skin is red and pigment has been deposited into the layer of skin containing dead skin cells; combined giving the appearance of a darker color. There may be minimal swelling, but typically the eyebrow area does not retain much fluid, so swelling will be limited. The top layer of skin will being to shed in about 5-7 days and you will see a loss of color. This is normal. DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK.

3-4: Your eyebrows may begin to itch and the pigment may appear somewhat raised. DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK.

5-7: The skin is now rapidly exfoliating and will shed evenly if left alone. The color under the exfoliating skin will start to appear very light and day by day it will start to appear darker. Please be patient and give the color a couple weeks to become darker.

30-40: Now is the time to critique your brows. The tattoo has now become part of the dermis, seen under the epidermis.

-Do not work out on the day of the procedure.
-Do not tan or have a sunburnt face.
-Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, or ibuprofen 24 hours prior to the procedure, to reduce bleeding.
-No alcohol or caffeine for 2 days before the procedure to reduce bleeding.
-No waxing or tinting 3 days before the procedure.
-Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
-No tweezing or waxing at least 48 hours before procedure; electrolysis no less than 5 days before. Do not resume any method of hair removal for 2 weeks.
-Eyelash or eyebrow tinting or eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before, or 2 weeks after the procedure.
-No Botox at least 30 days before procedure.

AFTERCARE: NO water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 10 days (unless given to you by me).
3-4 hours after your procedure, clean your eyebrows with sterile water and cotton squares. Clean the surface thoroughly to rid it of any ointment and lymph fluids.
DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking your scabs can cause scarring and will pull the pigment off the skin.
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning 3-4 weeks after procedure.
Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days, the salt in your sweat will fade the pigment.
NO facials, Botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
DO NOT let water touch your eyebrows when showering or washing your hair.
‚Äč*The aftercare is the most important step in the outcome of your investment. Failure to follow these aftercare instructions will produce poor results in your healed eyebrows.

Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for clients who are:
-Pregnant or nursing
-Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
-Have viral infections or diseases
-Have pacemaker or major heart problems.
If you require antibiotics before dental work, you may need antibiotics before cosmetic tattooing. Please consult your doctor.
-have an organ transplant
-have skin irritations, Rosacea or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, broken skin, etc.)
-Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
-Have had Botox in the past month
-Are under 18 years old

Long Term Care:
-Use a good sunscreen after 10 days. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics.
-If you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure, or MRI scan, please inform the technician/physician of your permanent cosmetics.
-The use of RetinA/Tretinoin, chemical peels and acid peels, or any other rapid skin exfoliation products used on the forehead area will cause the permanent makeup of the eyebrow area to fade prematurely.

You may not be a good candidate for Microblading if:
-You have very large pores or very oily skin. The oils in your skin will make the pigment fade faster and the strokes won't appear as crisp, or you may not retain the pigment well at all. The constant production of oil will cause hair strokes to heal with a soft, diffused look. The results will appear more of a powdery appearance. In this case, a Powder Brow is a better choice for you.
-Prone to keloid scars.
-Heavy smoker. The color retention will not be ideal.
